Dinosaur skeletons, masterpieces by Rembrandt and Lievens, , an Egyptian temple, Wajang puppets from Indonesia, the medical history of bloodletting and breast prosthetics, treasures from Japan and everything about the relief of Leyden: you will find all of this and more in Leiden's museums. Each collection and exhibition is worth visiting. You are very welcome in the treasure chambers that Leiden and its surroundings have to offer.

De Leidse Schouwburg is de oudste schouwburg van Nederland en uniek in zijn atmosfeer. Het biedt een afwisselend programma van toneel, dans, musical, cabaret en theaterconcerten. De Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden werd gebouwd in 1890 en is een van de mooiste concertzalen van Nederland. De Stadsgehoorzaal wordt geprezen om zijn prachtige akoestiek. Er zijn optredens van verschillende artiesten en gezelschappen.

Trianon is a classic movie theatre where we have been screening films for almost 90 years. The theatre was recently given a total makeover and shows you both the latest Hollywood blockbusters and films for smaller audiences. Our Lido Theatre has five screening rooms, mainly used for Hollywood films and other international blockbusters. Those who prefer arthouse films should visit our intimate Kijkhuis.
